A one-hour recording usually gets published once, as one long video, and then forgotten. Inside that hour there are typically eight to twelve moments that stand on their own – a strong answer, a clear explanation, a memorable line.
The work of repurposing is mostly selection. Finding the moments that make sense without their context is harder than cutting them, which is why an automated clipping tool tends to produce clips that start mid-sentence and end nowhere.
Once the moments are chosen, the technical work is straightforward: reframe to vertical with the speaker tracked, add captions styled to your brand, and open on the hook rather than the introduction. Nobody watches a vertical clip that opens with “so, as I was saying”.
From one recording a typical client gets the full episode, a shorter evergreen cut, eight to ten vertical clips and a handful of quote cards. That is roughly a month of publishing from a single afternoon of filming.
